This site is the project. It exists for the reasons described in About — a place to think out loud, in long form, in public.
What it is
A static site, generated by Astro from Markdown files, served from Cloudflare’s edge. There is no database, no backend, no analytics tracker, no comment system. The only moving part is me, writing.
What I am trying to keep true about it
- The home page should feel calm. If it ever starts to feel busy, I have added too much.
- Old pieces stay. Revisions are tracked next to the originals, not on top of them.
- Markdown in, HTML out. Anything that adds a layer between writing and publishing has to justify itself.
What is next
- An RSS feed so people can follow without depending on me to email them.
- Footnotes that look like footnotes, not like inline asides.
- A proper way to mark a piece as “still revising” without hiding it.
